I’m new to cruising with Disney but have taken many cruises on other cruise lines. Is there a method to apply the number of cruises I’ve taken on another line to a new Castaway Club membership?

    Ahoy, Jeffrey!

I'm excited to hear you've got a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon! It won't be long until it's time to pack your bags and set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew.

Since this sounds like your first Disney cruise, congratulations! From Broadway caliber shows to first run movies to rotational dining, Disney Cruise Line is nautical miles ahead of the competition. I cannot wait to hEAR what you think about the awesome activities, entertainment, and dining onboard.

The Castaway Club program was created to recognize Guests who have sailed with Disney Cruise Line on multiple occasions. It’s wonderful that you are no stranger to cruising, but unfortunately, you cannot apply cruises on other cruise lines to your Castaway Club membership.

But look on the bright side! At the end of your first completed cruise, you qualify as a Silver Castaway in the Castaway Club and are entitled to special benefits, which at this time include early access to online planning, a welcome back aboard gift, and early booking for new itineraries. I love all the perks that Disney Cruise Line extends to its “frequent sailors” and it gives me extra incentive to work my way up the Castaway Club ladder.

One of my favorite Castaway Club perks is getting a complimentary lanyard at check-in. Believe me, it’s fun to graduate to a new level because the lanyard also changes. I’m working my way up from Gold to Platinum member as we speak!

Jeffrey, feel free to drop a line if you have more questions. Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea!
