Hi, Lenora!
Star Wars fans like myself were thrilled when it was announced last week that
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios would be opening ahead of schedule. Due to the excitement over this immersive new land, it is probably safe to assume that Disney's Hollywood Studios will be more crowded than normal this fall. However, there really is no way to know for sure exactly how much crowd levels will be affected and whether or not the park will reach capacity. As Master Yoda would say, "Impossible to see, the future is."
On the rare occasions that the Walt Disney World theme parks near capacity crowd levels, the parks will close to additional guests in phases. At first, Annual Passholders, Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests, and guests with in-park dining reservations or appointments will still be permitted to enter the park. However, in the final phase of closing due to capacity, additional guests will not be admitted for ANY reason due to fire safety codes.
I would suggest that you arrive at the park early in the day when the crowds are lower. If you wish to leave the park during the day, check with a Cast Member first to see if the park is anywhere near capacity. Even if the crowds are not near capacity, enjoying some delicious food and a great seat for Fantasmic! sounds like a good idea to me. I would definitely recommend booking a
Fantasmic! Dining Package or the
Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience.
May the force be with you!
Samantha
