Hey there, Hunter! I am so happy to meet you at planDisney and glad you stopped by as you plan to end the year at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
I am so sorry you are having challenges getting everything for your trip
bibbidi bobbidi booked. I'm not sure exactly what is happening, so bear with me as I go through some ideas in hopes one of the gizmos and gadgets aplenty does the trick.
Since you just approached the 60-day mark before your vacation, are you trying to get
advanced dining reservations? You can check dining availability on the
My Disney Experience app or
online. Now, if you are trying to get dining for a large party, these reservations can be challenging to find, especially during busy seasons like the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. The advice I hear is to split into two reservations at the same time and ask to be seated together or near each other when you check in at the restaurant. But it's not that easy because you cannot have overlapping reservations on the same
MyDisney account. I faced this when making dinner reservations for Thanksgiving week. To make it work for a party of 8, I booked a table for four, and my husband did another on his account.
Another tip: If a particular restaurant interests you, you can click "Check Date Range" to see availability across all the days of your vacation.
If you cannot get the table-service dining you want, there are a few
quick-service restaurants I highly recommend. In
Magic Kingdom Park, the
Columbia Harbor House is amazing! It is known for the Lobster Roll, but I cannot pass up the Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon every time I go. Served with rice and green beans, it is not your typical fast-food meal. At
Animal Kingdom Theme Park, it's
Satu'li Canteen. There are so many options here that it is always hard to choose.
If it's not help with dining you need, perhaps
theme park reservations? These are required for an Annual Pass or certain tickets and passes. Good news! The calendar shows availability for all four theme parks if you have an
Incredi Pass. If you try to purchase a single-day ticket or use another ticket that requires a reservation, Magic Kingdom Park is currently unavailable on December 30 and 31, and EPCOT is unavailable on December 31. Any other day, I would say if your admission includes the Park Hopper option, you could make a reservation at another theme park and hop over to one of these after visiting the first. The last time I was at the Magic Kingdom on New Year's Eve Day, it reached capacity at 10 a.m.
Hunter, I'm not sure if any of this information helps with the trouble you're having. Please
contact me again and let me know what challenges you're experiencing. I'm happy to share what I know, do a little research or direct you to Cast Members who can help.
See 'Ya Real Soon!
