I'm in a motorized wheelchair. How accessible is the Celebrating Disney100 Guided Tour? Also, I don't have mobility in my arms. Could my parents help me build a lightsaber or droid if I'm the builder and they're my guests?

    Hiya, Stephanie!

You betcha! The Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour is fully accessible. You should not have any difficulty navigating through the parks using your motorized wheelchair while experiencing this limited-time tour. Places that require going up or down (I’m thinking especially of the Disney Animation Building in Disney California Adventure Park) will include a ramp for accessibility. I’m really excited you are considering this tour. My wife and I took it during a Disneyland Resort vacation earlier this year and we loved it! It even includes reserved viewing for my favorite daytime parade: Magic Happens!

My son’s experience at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers is a core memory for both of us. The Gatherers who will guide you through your experience of building your own custom lightsaber will provide you with enough scrap metal to build only one lightsaber per paid reservation. Each builder may have up to two Guests with them. While the Guests may not build their own separate lightsaber, they will certainly be able to assist the builder with building their lightsaber. Similar accommodations are available to those building a droid at Droid Depot. I sense that the Force is strong with you. So strong, that I’m certain you will be able to, ahem, direct your parents through the process of building your lightsaber and droid on your behalf.

Tony’s Tip: Valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation to Disneyland Park are required to experience the Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour and are not included with the purchase of the tour. Although the tour takes you to locations inside both theme parks, you are not required to have a Park Hopper ticket. Your tour guide will escort you between parks with VIP-like treatment and without the need to scan your ticket as you hop back and forth between the parks during your tour. Look out for the paparazzi!

May the Force be with you as you enjoy the celebration of 100 years of Disney and your out-of-this-world experience at the Black Spire Outpost, Stephanie. I hope you’ll stop by planDisney again if we can help answer any more questions you may have.
