Hi I'm a mom with 2 girls a 1 year old who turns 2 in April 2013 and a 4 year old who turns 5 in July 2013. What Disney Theme Parks are suitable for the ages of my children? We will be traveling between April and May.

    Hi DaQuisha,

The great thing about the parks at Walt Disney World is that they are filled with attractions that families can enjoy together.  Each park has something unique that your girls would probably love.

Having said that, Magic Kingdom is a must for your girls.  It's filled with attractions from favorite Disney classics.  You'll want to experience Dumbo, Peter Pan's Flight, it's a small world, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Journey of the Little Mermaid, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and so much more!

As far as the other parks, it depends on what they love.  If they love animals, then certainly visit Animal Kingdom.  Kilimanjaro Safari is great, and there are shows like Finding Nemo and Legend of the Lion King that they'll enjoy as well.

If your girls love Pixar movies and are Disney Junior fans, then visit Hollywood Studios.  They'll get to meet their favorite characters and experience some fun shows.  Although I will say that for our family, although we loved being able to meet some favorite characters, this park was not an all day destination for us until our kids were older.

Some people thing Epcot is not for younger children. I disagree.  My kids have always loved this park.  The Seas With Nemo and Friends is a highlight, but they also enjoy Spaceship Earth, Journey Into Imagination, and exploring the countries around the world.  Plus, Akershus has a great princess character meal that my little girl loves.

Although I love all four parks, my choices would be 1)Magic Kingdom, 2)Epcot, 3)Animal Kingdom, 4)Hollywood Studios

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
