I'm making a schedule for our trip Sept 16-23 but can't decide when to visit the water parks. We may visit 2x for 1/2 day each approx 10am-2pm. Looking at either wed, sun or mon. Which days do you recommend, should weekends be avoided? Thanks

If you are looking for the absolutely least crowded day to visit the water parks, follow this simple rule:

Go when the locals are in school or when they think the weather is too cold!

We have always found Mondays at the water parks to be less crowded. Many visitors to WDW arrive over the weekend and start touring the major theme parks instead on this first week day morning. On Monday during your stay you'll also have an Animal Kingdom Extra Magic Hour morning pulling guests to that park.

I would try Sunday morning as well. Many guests are just arriving Walt Disney World and the locals are (hopefully) sleeping in instead of hurrying out to a water park.

Later in the week, the water parks pick up in crowds as guests tend to need a little more down time after having spent so many days touring the theme parks.
