I'm making plans now to take my grandkids (ages 5 to 13) to Disney World next year. Do you have any suggestions on how to make the younger kids more visible should they slip away from my group?

    Hey Pam,

Great question! No vacation is fun when you feel stressed out about keeping up with the kids. Here are a couple of suggestions that I have used when traveling with a lot of younger kids. We all get the same shirts, that way you know how each kid is dressed. And the kids know what to look for if they get tangled up in the crowds. I also purchased the Dog ID tags (the ones at Pet Stores in the vending machine that you can personalize) and put my name and cellphone number on the tag, and attached it to my kids' shoe string on their shoes. The ID TAg was NOT coming off, short of the kid taking the shoe off and unlacing the whole shoe! We also established a meeting point if we got separated. It was usually the icon of the park. At Magic Kingdom it was in front of Cinderella's Castle at the Walt Disney Statue. At Hollywood Studios we agreed to meet under the Sorcerer's Hat at the Pin Station etc. If kids get lost, know that a Cast Member will take them to a Baby Station at the park.  Agree on the meeting place or make sure the child knows that they can tell a Cast Member that they are lost ,and they will be taken somewhere where you can find them. Here is a little extra pixie dust for NO lost children on your trip. Have fun!
