    I'm making 10 pairs of brilliantly illuminating MM ears (50 multicolored LEDs/set) for our family trip ('reunion') to WDW. I'm concerned about dress code rules and such. Has anyone had any problems bringing in their own (unlicensed) memorabilia?

    Hi Marilyn ~

    Wow! That is a big project and you are awesome to do that for your family reunion. What fun!

    No worries - you are welcome to decorate your own ears or make matching shirts for your reunion. You won't have a problem entering the parks with them. Lots of Guests do it and many Cast Members get a big kick out of seeing how creative Guests are when making shirts and hats for their trips.

    The Disney World website recommends keeping the following in mind when dressing to visit the parks:

    The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. Ensuring that the parks are family friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.

    Attire that is not appropriate for the parks - and which may result in refusal of admittance - includes but is not limited to:
    * Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney Character
    * Masks
    * Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
    * Excessively torn clothing
    * Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
    * Objectionable tattoos

    Adults can visit the parks if their hair (or makeup, if applicable) resembles a Disney Princess or character, provided that they are not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character.

    So feel free to show your Disney Side and make your own clothing and accessories that follow those Guidelines. I bet you will get tons of compliments from Cast Members and other Guests.

    Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR to help you!

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
