I’m going to be at Magic Kingdom on June 23, I love Disney but I´m also a huge fan of soccer. That day my country’s national team is playing on the 2018 Fifa World Cup. Do you know any spots at Maginc Kingdom that will broadcast the World Cup? Thanks!

    Hi Hector!

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm going to guess there are 2 things you're really looking forward to hearing on your visit to Walt Disney World.

The first — because you love Disney — is "Have a Magical Day!"

The second — because you love watching your team win — is "Gooooooaaaaaallllll!" when Mexico plays in the World Cup.

Hector, while I don't have a spot that comes to mind for watching the excitement in Magic Kingdom itself, I can share a few ideas. I visited Walt Disney World during the last World Cup, and there were a number of Walt Disney World Resort Hotel lounges and pool area lounges where Guests could watch the match.

If you're only visiting Magic Kingdom on match day, you could check out lounges nearby. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is a great outdoor lounge space at Disney's Wilderness Lodge overlooking Bay Lake. I recently returned from a stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and enjoyed a few relaxing meals at Geyser Point Bar & Grill while watching the action on the big screens. (Delicious side note: the Bison Cheeseburger scores!). Disney's Wilderness Lodge is just a quick boat ride away from Magic Kingdom using Walt Disney World Water Transportation. Just follow the signs for Resort Launches.

Another option to check out is a lounge at Disney's Contemporary Resort just a short walk from Magic Kingdom.

During the last World Cup, I recall that Epcot provided some great spots to watch all the action, and you can easily hop the Monorail to get there. If you're park hopping, that could be an option.

    Enjoy your Disney!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
