Hello Teresa and a heartfelt welcome to planDisney! Thanks for trusting us to help you with this question, today.
I have to start by saying, what a special gift it will be to spend time with your friend during their first visit to
Disneyland Resort! The fact that you are handling all the planning details on their behalf is even more thoughtful so they can truly enjoy all the magic of a first-timer's visit!
If you have already purchased a
standard ticket on the Disneyland Resort website, it is possible that you've already secured their
park reservation since these two steps are often done at the time of ticket purchase. You can view this in the "
My Plans" section of the website where any tickets or Magic Key passes that are linked to your account will be displayed, along with any associated park reservations. If you see both your friend's ticket and your
Magic Key pass with a park reservation for the same date, you should be good to go!
If you haven't already linked your friend's ticket to your account, you can do so on the "
Link Tickets" page by entering the ticket ID found in the confirmation email you received at the time of purchase. You can also use your
Disneyland mobile app to add your friend's ticket to your "Tickets and Passes" section. The app will allow you to manually enter the ticket ID number or use your mobile device's camera to scan and add the ticket to your account. Once that ticket is linked, you'll be able to book, cancel, or modify any park reservations associated with it.
I hope this is some helpful guidance, Teresa! Please feel welcome to come back to
planDisney if we can lend any other recommendations for such a special visit! I hope you'll make plans to get your friend a complimentary Celebration Button from select Guest Relations locations and merchandise shops throughout the theme parks. It's a really fun way to acknowledge a first-time visitor. I wish you and your friend endless core memories together!
Magic awaits,
Tishra
