I'm looking to come to Disney over Christmas - arriving late morning / afternoon 24th Dec, leaving morning of 28th Dec. What's my best option for park tickets as I'm there for less than 7 days, and where should I stay. Travelling on my own.

    Season's greetings, friend!

Welcome to planDisney. I'm delighted you've stopped by with your question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort holiday! You're in for a real treat because you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year. There's no place like the Walt Disney World Resort for the holidays! I'd be happy to help you prepare for a festive and fun vacation.

You'll be checking into a Disney Resort hotel for a cozy Christmas vacation - does it get any more magical than that!? All Disney Resort hotels are unique and special in their own ways, and each features dazzling decor during the holidays, but a couple stand out to me as Christmastime favorites. If I were checking in for a comfy Christmastime stay, I'd choose either Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In my opinion, Disney's Wilderness Lodge has the most stunning holiday decor on property, featuring an impressive, stories-tall Christmas tree! At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Guests can delight in viewing a life-sized gingerbread house - and even purchase holiday goodies from it! Both of these Deluxe Resort hotels offer Guests a completely immersive Christmastime experience.

I did some searching around for the best theme park ticket prices and it looks like the 7-Day Disney Magic Ticket may be the best deal for you, even if you aren't staying for seven days. Another option would be a 3-Day One Park Per Day ticket purchased once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, the Disney Magic Ticket includes the Park Hopper option, allowing you to "hop" between the theme parks, and also includes Memory Maker, enabling you to download all of your Disney PhotoPass images throughout your visit! Another reason to pre-purchase your theme park tickets is the popularity of visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season. Remember, theme park reservations are required through early January, so pre-purchasing your admission would allow you to reserve the theme parks of your choosing ahead of time! For these reasons, I encourage you to consider purchasing the Disney Magic Tickets, both for their excellent value and for the ability to purchase your theme park tickets before you head to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

I ho-ho-hope you've found this information helpful, and I wish you a magical and memorable Walt Disney World Resort holiday! If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to pop back over to planDisney anytime. Wishing you a truly enchanting and wonder-filled wintertime visit, friend!

    Happy holidays,

    Lauren
