I'm looking to take my 3 year daughter to Disneyland for her birthday in April. This will be here first time. what can I do to make the most out of her birthday? I am on a budget though.

    Hi, Stormi!

I'm so glad to hear that you'll be celebrating your daughter's birthday at the Disneyland Resort! There's no better place to spend a special occasion than "The Happiest Place on Earth," and there are many ways to make her day memorable while sticking to a budget.

If you’ll be staying at the Disneyland Resort overnight, pack a few inexpensive birthday decorations, like streamers or a homemade banner, for your room. Her day will be magical from the moment she opens her eyes!  Instead of buying an autograph book, present your daughter with a birthday card that morning for the Disney Characters to sign.

Be sure to stop by City Hall on your way into Disneyland Park to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your daughter. It can be customized with her name so she’ll receive personalized birthday wishes from Cast Members all day. If you have any table-service meals planned, let your server know you’re celebrating her birthday. You’ll likely get a special treat at the end of your meal!

You can even start the celebration before your trip by visiting Disney Junior’s website to sign up for the “It’s Your Birthday” Celebration. You’ll receive an email with an invitation to schedule a personalized greeting for the birthday girl, then Mickey, Minnie or Jake will send a birthday message in an animated video, a phone call, or both. Plus, there’s other free birthday fun online including games, videos, coloring pages, printable invitations, party ideas and recipes themed with kids’ favorite Disney Junior characters.

Happy birthday to your little princess! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your pixie-dusted vacation, Stormi.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
