I'm looking at staying in the hotel Saturday to Tuesday, but I only want to go to the parks Sunday and Monday. How do you select the dates for the park when staying at the hotel?

Hiya, Alison, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting to be in the planning stages of a Disneyland Resort visit. I think you're wise to consider booking a Disneyland Resort Hotel, so let's look at some options for your trip.

First, you can choose to book your trip as a Vacation Package. This bundles your resort stay and park tickets, reserving your vacation with one deposit. You can pay off the package up to 30 days before you arrive at your convenience. Vacation Packages can also be modified or canceled within your specific package guidelines.

If you choose to book a package, you'll select your resort first, and then you'll be prompted to choose the number of days you'd like to purchase Theme Park Tickets. You can also add extras like Genie+ Service or the Park Hopper option. You will pay the deposit but won't see the park tickets in your account until a few days before you arrive. However, once your reservation is linked to your My Disneyland account, you can make Theme Park Reservations 120 days in advance.

So, if you're staying three nights at a resort, you can choose to go to the Theme Parks as many days as you'd like. I know what I'd do, Alison! As a matter of fact, I just booked a stay at the Disneyland Hotel and bundled park tickets for a Vacation Package in December. I'm planning to have a holly-jolly time!

The other option is to book your Disneyland Resort Hotel and park tickets separately. In this scenario, you'd typically pay a deposit for the resort to secure it, but you'd pay for the park tickets in full. You'd also choose your park dates at the time of purchase, and those park tickets would be nonrefundable.

Alison, no matter how you decide to book your next Disney adventure, I'm sure you will make some magical memories. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
