Guests can indicate dietary requests when making a dining reservation (including the Fantasmic! Dining Package). Visit the
Fantasmic! Dining Package page and select "Check Availability." Choose your date and time, and then you will be taken to a page that includes a section titled "Dietary Requests." Select "Edit" and choose which foods or ingredients that a meal should be created without. Wheat/gluten is currently listed as an option. After that, complete your reservation.
When arriving at the restaurant, I recommend reminding the server about your food restrictions. The server can usually discuss which food options may work for you, or you can ask to speak with a chef or a Special Diets-Trained Cast Member before placing your order. In the past, sometimes my family members with food allergies needed to order from the regular allergy menu instead of the Dining Package menu. We often paid the Dining Package price, even if we were unable to order from that menu, as we still wanted to access the
Fantasmic! reserved viewing area. Offerings and options vary, but we have always been able to find a safe meal for our Dining Package experiences.
Keep in mind that
Disneyland's allergy menus can be updated at any time depending on ingredient availability and other circumstances, and they cannot guarantee that any food item is completely allergen-free. This is why it is always a good idea to check in with a Special Diets Trained Cast Member when you arrive at any dining location. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food into the theme parks, although a Dining Package is generally needed to access the Fantasmic! reserved viewing area. Fortunately, my family has had many positive and safe dining experiences at Disneyland over the years, and we're looking forward to many more!
Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. Fantasmic! Dining Packages are very popular, and I recommend booking them as soon as they become available. Just keep checking the website if they are not showing availability, as Guests often cancel their reservations as it gets closer to their arrival date. Also, Fantasmic! only takes place on select nights during certain times of the year. Performance dates for February have not been released yet, so it may take a while for Dining Packages to be available.
