I'm looking at purchasing the Weekday Select Annual Pass. If I purchase the pass, will I be able to see Disney World lit up for Halloween and Christmas, beyond the blockout dates?

    Hi April,

I'm delighted to hear you are considering joining the world of Florida resident passholders! It's a great community to be a part of. I've been a passholder for almost 20 years (first with the Seasonal Pass, now with the new Silver Pass). We've never found the block out dates to be a detriment to our Walt Disney World enjoyment.

You will find that the full holiday regalia rolls out well before the block out dates -- in September for Halloween and no later than mid- to late-November for Christmas. We combine our viewing of the fall decorations with our numerous trips to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

And we love visiting in early December to see and experience all the Christmas festivities without the crowds who arrive during the block out period around Christmas and New Year's.

A bonus of the newly revised passholder program: free standard parking is now included with your pass, making it an even better value.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, April. I hope you will come back as often as you need with any questions about the passholder program or the year of magic you will experience with a Walt Disney World annual pass.

    Enjoy!

    Wilma
