I'm looking into the possibility of renting a house for a family reunion. Noticing that houses are mostly on the west side of the park and would like to know what access points are on that side into the parks. Walking distance is a big factor

Howdy, Julie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

A family reunion at the Disneyland Resort sounds like a wonderful idea! Can your family adopt me? But seriously, you are going to have a Fantasmic! time with exciting attractions and entertainment, and new offerings such as the newly re-imagined Pixar Pier.

I’ve done my fair share of walking in and around the Disneyland Resort. I have found the area to be very pleasant and easy to walk. To get to the theme parks from the neighborhood west of the Disneyland Resort is about a mile-long walk, or about 20 minutes. From the corner of Cerritos Avenue and Walnut Street, cross to the east side of Walnut. Then walk north to Magic Way. Turn right on Magic Way and follow the sidewalks from there to the Disneyland Hotel area. You can enter the security checkpoint outside Disneyland Hotel and walk through Downtown Disney District where you can find multiple dining options, including for breakfast. Immediately adjacent to Downtown Disney District is the esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

    Have a magical time, Julie!
