I'm looking for port excursion recommendations for the 7night Western Caribbean cruise. Our travelling party consists of two seniors, 5 adults and 4 children (aged 19 months, 2 years, 4 years & 5 years.

    Ahoy Kristin!

A multigenerational cruise on the Disney Fantasy sounds amazing! Disney Cruise Line has something for everyone, so no age left behind! With a Western Caribbean itinerary including Mexico, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands, you are smart to plan out those Port Adventures for you and your crew.

My recommendation in Cozumel is for a location where you can just get there and spend all day. Since many Port Adventures have age requirements, I’ve gone through the list and found those that will accommodate the range of ages you have. In my opinion, your best bets would be either the Cozumel Beach Break (beach day) or the Eco Park and Snorkel (ecological park with alligator lagoon and

In the Cayman Islands, try the Cayman Dolphin Encounter for anyone ages 3 and up who wants to interact with dolphins and the Cayman Dolphin Observer for the younger kiddos and the adult(s) will supervise them while the other swim. If the kids are big Finding Nemo fans, then the Nautilus Undersea Tour would probably float their boat! Tour two shipwreck and Cheeseburger Reef where divers feed the fish. Expect lots of squeals of “Nemo."

In Falmouth, Jamaica, I’d say the Deluxe Jewel Beach Break would be perfect for your family with 4 pools, a lazy river, and plenty of slides. Alternatively, there's also the Exclusive & Fun Beach Break at Discovery Bay. Either one of these beach-centric destinations will offer fun in the sun and sand and opportunities for those little ones to splash around.

While I've tried to list what I think would be the best excursions for your group, I encourage you to still check the full list of Caribbean Port Adventures. When scrolling through the choices, be sure to check for the age requirements as those are strictly observed due to safety reasons. Another option would be to stay onboard in one of the ports. While the masses go ashore, you can enjoy the ship with lighter crowds.

Swim back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with additional questions-we'd love to help you! Have a FINtastic time with Captain Mickey!

    SEA ya real soon!
