Hi. I'm looking at planning a trip for just my wife and I, Feb 5th-(not sure). What is the best resort for only 2 people? It will be our 25th anniversary, but I also don't want to break the bank....

    Welcome to planDisney, Steven!

Since the debut of Snow White in 1937, Disney has been teaching us all about love, but I'm a firm believer that there is no better Happily Ever After than your own and I'm so happy to chat with you about planning an anniversary trip. My husband and I love to visit Walt Disney World, just the two of us. Taking into account the atmosphere and budget, my top three choices would be Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter, Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, or Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter is a moderate resort with a vibe that will make you believe you're in the Big Easy. The resort is small in size which makes it easy to navigate, but has beautiful grounds and beignets in the shape of Mickey Mouse! You can stroll around this resort, munching on a beignet while listening to the sounds of jazz! There is also boat transportation to Disney Springs (which has so many great restaurant choices for couples).

Gran Destino Tower (also in the moderate category) was an addition to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort that added not only guest rooms but gorgeous Spanish-inspired spaces that include a bar on the first level that serves up coffee in the morning! At this resort, you'll find lots of quiet places to sit and gaze out over the lake after a long day in the park and great onsite dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Finally, Steven, while not as budget-friendly as the previous two, Disney's Wilderness Lodge is themed after the Pacific Northwest and is my husband's favorite, so I had to include it on my list. With an awe-inspiring main lobby, everything at this resort is warm and inviting. We love late-night appetizers and drinks at Geyser Point Bar & Grill and then watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the resort grounds. You can also choose to end your day with a soak in the hot tub that will make you feel like you're in the middle of a National park!

Steven, I hope this helps as you continue planning for your anniversary trip. If you have any additional questions or need other recommendations for activities, dining, or extra special ways to celebrate your 25-year-milestone, please let me know!

    Wishing you a Magical visit,
    Lauren

My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
