Hi Jabria ~
Sounds like you're planning an exciting trip! A
character meal is a great way to celebrate a birthday. For a first birthday, I'd recommend The Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom (MK) or Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Reservations can be made 180 days prior to your trip on the link shown above or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. You could order a special cake by calling the cake hotline at 407-827-2253. Reservations and 48 hour notice is required.
Both of my boys celebrated their first birthdays at Disney World by getting their first haircuts at the Harmony Barber Shop in the MK. They do an amazing job with little ones. Here are some
details about first haircuts at the Harmony Barber Shop.
You could celebrate the occasion and book a family
Portrait Session with a Disney Photographer. The Disney Photographers do a wonderful job of capturing memories in some very unique settings. A Mini Session is only $150.00.
With a 1 year old, you'll probably spend more time at the MK than any of the other parks. Staying at one of the resorts along the Monorail Line would make it very convenient to travel quickly to MK and give you easy access to come back for naps. You can also transfer to the Epcot Monorail line for a short ride over to Epcot. All of the resorts on the Monorail line are fabulous. We really like the Polynesian Resort. Its a little more low key, quiet and very family friendly.
I'm limited in space but please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR to help!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
