I'm looking to plan a birthday trip for my daughter 5th birthday and I need some help planning.

    Hiya Jabria!

Welcome to planDisney! Happy early birthday to your little girl! Celebrating a birthday in Walt Disney World at any age is so much fun but when you are as young as 5 it tends to be even more magical. It's such a fun age and there are so many things you can arrange to make it so special.

    Before you arrive:

Make a special dining reservation! What's a birthday without a lovely meal and cake? Depending on what your daughter likes to eat or what characters she enjoys there are just so many choices to pick from! Approximately, 120 dining options in Walt Disney World Resort are considered Table Service and it can be overwhelming to pick one! To help narrow it down I suggest from personal experience with my own little girl the following: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Be our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, and Topolino's Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera. Their restaurants are either a character dining experience or are just so well-themed that kids are enchanted. Don't forget to add a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to your meal! This can be done when you make your reservations and our family loves them! (Great as a nightly treat when taken back to your Resort room as leftovers) Dining reservations can be made 60 days before your visit and if you are staying onsite your booking window increases to the length of your entire trip up to 10 days.

Release the inner princess! Booking a princess makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park is an experience that will be cherished forever. Your little princess will be treated like the royalty she is by her personal Fairy Godmother's Apprentice! This is also booked in that 60-day window just like dining reservations.

Capture all the memories! Walt Disney World Resort has always had Disney PhotoPass photographers available all over the Parks who can take your daughter's pictures after her makeover or any time during her special birthday trip. However, to make it even more special consider booking a Capture Your Moment session where you can get a private 20-minute photo session with Magic Kingdom Park as your backdrop! Don't forget to pre-purchase Memory Maker which is discounted when bought in advance!

    When you arrive:

Get a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button from the Front Desk of your Resort when you arrive. Guest Relations desks in each of the four main theme parks, Disney Springs, and even some merchandise locations will be able to get you one!

Let your little one be your guide! Consider making it a "yes" day for her and let her pick the next ride, snack, or experience. For a 5-year-old I would help guide her with a few choices at a time so she won't get overwhelmed.

I hope this helps and if you want any more ideas please let me know as I have run out of space!

    Happy planning!
