Hello I’m looking to plan a birthday trip?

    Hello, Friend!

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I’m so excited that you want to spend your birthday at The Happiest Place on Earth. I’ve celebrated my birthday in the parks a handful of times, and it is always so magical!

You came to the right place to add a little extra pixie dust to your celebration. Here are some of my recommendations to make your birthday in the park extra special:

    1) Get a “Happy Birthday” Button – Once you have entered the park, head over to City Hall on Main Street to pick up your “Happy Birthday” button. This free button makes for a fun keepsake or even a photo prop! And don’t be surprised if Cast Members or fellow Guests offer congratulations throughout the day. It’s one of those moments that makes the parks feel even more magical.

    2) Celebrate with special Disney Ears – There are a couple of birthday options for Mickey hats and ears, but I highly recommend getting classic Black Mickey Ears and having them hand-painted. You can head over to Plaza Point in Disneyland or Julius Katz & Sons in California Adventure, and a Cast Member can paint your ears with the design of your choice. I have a pair with fireworks and pixie dust that I absolutely adore. They have a book of design options, and you can also include a date, phrase, or numbers. These ears will always remind you of this special birthday spent in the parks.

    3) Book a special meal for yourself – Add a nice dining experience to your day to make it feel even more special. There are some truly wonderful restaurants in the parks, in the Downtown Disney District, and at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. Be sure to make your reservations 60 days in advance to ensure you can dine at the restaurant of your choice. There are also dessert and dining packages that include reserved seating for select nighttime entertainment, such as World of Color at California Adventure or the seasonal parade at Disneyland.

Remember that you can book your park reservations up to six months in advance, so keep an eye out for any special ticket discounts that Disneyland may offer. Also, stay alert for any special events taking place at the Disneyland Resort during your visit so you can make the most of your trip.

I hope these tips help kick-start your birthday planning. If you have any other questions or need more help, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney birthday.

Hope you have a magical celebration!
