Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. You’ll be staying at a resort that is near and dear to my heart. As a native New Yorker, I appreciate the fact that Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa pays tribute to the charm and nostalgia of historic Saratoga Springs in New York from the late 1800s. This resort is a wonderfully warm reminder of home for me, and I know you’ll love it, too. Let’s see if I can help you prepare for your visit with some answers.
The best way to view a map of the resort is to use the
My Disney Experience app. After you log in, tap on the map pin icon at the bottom. Next, scroll right on the top horizontal menu that starts with Wait Times until you see Resort Hotels at the end and tap it. Tap the filters just below and select Disney Springs Area. Tap Apply. Tap Show List on the bottom right, then Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Then tap Find on Map. For a shortcut, just open the app and tap the Search icon (magnifying glass) on the bottom, then type Saratoga Springs Resort and select it. Now you can zoom out and see a full map of the resort, or zoom in on details you need to get a more detailed view of.
As for information, there is a ton of information available on the Disney World website that can help you plan your stay. I would use a browser for this part and search for
Saratoga Springs Resort. On the resort Overview tab you’ll find information about the resort pool, the
Lake Buena Vista Golf Course which is currently closed for renovations but expected to reopen later this year, and more. On the Dining tab, you’ll see all the resort’s dining options. The Recreation tab will allow you to download the current
Activities Schedule and check out all the fun happenings at the resort that you can take part in during your stay. The Amenities tab houses information about other conveniences like transportation options and
Hey Disney! Bonus tip: don’t forget that this resort is super close to
Disney Springs - it's a 10-20 minute walk or you can enjoy a leisurely water taxi ride. Thanks to this, you'll have a ton of additional restaurants and shops right in your backyard during your stay. If you have time, stop by
Gideon’s Bakehouse for cookies and the Peanut Butter Cold Brew (I don’t even like coffee, but I have at least one during every visit!) or pop into the brand new
Six Ravens quick service restaurant. This location serves mouthwatering hand pies known as “Coffyns,” created by the culinary geniuses behind Gideon's.
