Welcome back to planDisney Kathleen! Thanks so much for sailing by with your question! I’m happy to help you navigate the
Sassagoula River Cruise options so you can enjoy a smooth and scenic journey during your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
The boats that travel between
Disney Springs and the nearby resorts such as Old Key West, Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside, and Saratoga Springs operate on dedicated routes. Each boat goes directly between Disney Springs and a specific resort without stopping at the others along the way.
For example, if you board the boat to Old Key West, it will travel straight to Old Key West without making any additional stops at other resorts. The same applies to the boats going to Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside. While Riverside and French Quarter share a connection, they each typically have their own direct service from Disney Springs. Similarly, the boat to Saratoga Springs only serves that resort.
The boat service usually runs every 20 to 30 minutes throughout the day, starting around 10:00 a.m. and continuing into the evening, with the final boats departing Disney Springs around 11:00 p.m., depending on the season and weather conditions.
I hope this helps clarify how the boat transportation works between Disney Springs and your resort. It’s such a relaxing and scenic way to travel especially after a fun filled day of shopping, dining, or exploring. If you have any more questions as you plan your magical vacation, feel free to paddle back over to planDisney. We’re always happy to help make your Disney days as smooth and memorable as possible!
