I’m looking for more info on a port excursion in Cozumel — All Terrain Buggy & Snorkel (CZ57). Looking for reviews, what others thought of the hike to the dry cenote. It says snorkel equipment for 10+. Can we bring our own for our 8 year old?

Hi there, Brittany! It’s my pleasure to welcome you aboard, planDisney!

I see that you’re headed to one of my favorite ports, Cozumel, on your Disney cruise, and I’m so excited for you! Cozumel is absolutely stunning, and the spectacular turquoise color of the ocean is one that always stops me in my tracks.

While I’ve been to Cozumel many times, my favorite thing to do there is relax by the beautiful ocean and snack on crunchy tortilla chips and guacamole. So, while I’m not familiar with the All-Terrain Buggy and Snorkel (CZ57) Port Adventure myself, I did ask my planDisney friends, and, as it turns out, my friend Cathy had experienced it and offered me her great review!

Cathy had many great things to say about her experience doing the All-Terrain Buggy and Snorkel Port Adventure. She said it was super fun, beautiful, and definitely recommends it! She said that she and the other guests were all enjoying themselves immensely. When chatting with the other guests with her on the tour, she said that they all agreed that it was super fun. She also made sure to tell me that the Beach Club portion was absolutely beautiful!

Cathy did mention seeing guests who looked a little muddy during the tour, which goes along with Disney Cruise Line’s suggestion to bring extra clothes in the Port Adventure description. Disney Cruise Line also states that it is mandatory to wear closed-toe shoes for safety, which will be very handy during the hiking portion. I highly recommend reading the “Know Before You Go” section of the Port Adventure description, because it lists in detail what items are needed to bring along, as well as suggestions for a great tour. While I have never done it, based on your question, the website description, and my friend Cathy’s review, it has definitely piqued my interest!

I see that you’re also asking about bringing snorkeling equipment for your 8-year-old. I did see in the website description that only guests 10 and older may join the snorkeling portion. Since I want to ensure to give you the most accurate information, I checked with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member, who informed me that for this Port Adventure, anyone under the age of 10 will not be able to snorkel. Therefore, even if you bring your own snorkeling equipment, your 8-year-old will not be able to join. However, I’m sure your child will enjoy the rest of the Port Adventure immensely, as it sounds so adventurous and beautiful!

Brittany, I wish you the most exciting and memorable day in Cozumel! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
