I'm looking for info on the Fort Wilderness internal bus routes. Specially how to get from a cabin to the Meadow area? Or how long would it take to walk from the 2100 loop?

    Anna:

In general, there are three bus routes that serve Fort Wilderness: the Orange line that picks up passengers along the main street that runs through the middle of the campground; the Yellow line that serves Camping Loops 100-500 and 1400-1900 which are on the perimeter of the resort; and the Purple line that serves the cabins. All three lines run from the Outpost Bus Stop where the parking lot and check-in are located to the Settlement Bus Stop near the marina-end of the resort where Pioneer Hall and the stables are located.

I would recommend walking from Cabin Loop 2100 to the Meadows area. Both are located in the middle of the resort. While the fastest way to get from Loop 2100 to the Meadows is to cut through Loop 1100, it is bad manners to walk through an occupied campsite. It will only add a few minutes to a pleasant walk to exit the loop and follow the sidewalk to the Meadows. All-told, it's less than 1/4 mile and it is flat, perfect for walking.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
