Hi Catherine,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!
My son’s first visit to the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival was when he was a few days shy of his second birthday. I absolutely believe that Epcot and, yes, the Food and Wine Festival are toddler friendly, with plenty of things to see and do for little ones. While Downtown Disney is a lot of fun, I find that it’s a little too much stimulation for my son, especially for dining experiences like
T-Rex (it gets LOUD in there).
We’ve tried several of the World Showcase restaurants with our little guy and, if I had to pick which ones he seemed to enjoy the most, it would probably be either the
San Angel Inn Restaurante in Mexico (he was fascinated by the volcano and the perpetual twilight of Plaza de los Amigos) or
Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco (he was absolutely enthralled by the belly dancer). His all-time favourite Epcot restaurant is probably
The Garden Grill, but that’s probably because it’s a character meal and he LOVES Mickey. I honestly think that Epcot has some of the best dining options in Walt Disney World Resort, so you really can’t go wrong with any of its restaurants.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
