I'm looking for help with booking a trip to WDW for 15 people (12 adults;3 children). Does this constitute a large group for booking accommodations, park tickets, and premier lightning lanes? When can we get this process started? Thanks.

Hello there, Marilyn! Welcome to planDisney! I'm the mom of a large family, so I love this question! There's nothing like taking a big group to The Most Magical Place on Earth

While 15 people is certainly quite a crowd, Disney only provides group reservations for those needing at least ten resort hotel rooms. If you want assistance booking your reservations, you can always call the Walt Disney World Tickets and Reservations line. You could also consider using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. These are independent travel agencies that have been awarded "Earmarked" status by Disney. You can find several with an internet search and look for the "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" logo featuring a Mickey Mouse hat. Most provide their services at no cost to you.

You could choose to take on the planning yourself! I happen to think it's a lot of fun! (I guess that's how I ended up at planDisney!) You'll want to start by choosing a resort. Walt Disney World has so many to choose from, but I'll recommend a few of my favorites. Disney's Art of Animation Resort has standard rooms that sleep four, as well as family suites that sleep up to six! It has a great food court, the largest swimming pool on Disney property, and access to Disney's Skyliner! If you are looking for something a little more relaxing, consider Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. It is charming and has Mickey beignets! Plus, it's only a boat ride away from Disney Springs! Finally, I love recommending Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The dining options can't be beat, and that savanna view is breathtaking!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Special Offers, Packages, and More! page. There will likely be a deal to pop up that works for your crew. Once your reservations are secured, you can start thinking about theme park days and dining options!

There's so much magic to be had in the planning, Marilyn! And all of us here at planDisney are here to answer all your questions every step of the way! Whether you need help understanding how Lightning Lane Multi Passes work, or you want ideas for a great character breakfast, we're always happy to help!

    Always dreaming -
