I'm looking at ground transportation options from Long Beach Airport. Any great suggestions? We were hoping for Disneyland Express or a bus type of shuttle where a carseat wouldn't be needed

Hello, Mary! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

The Disneyland Resort Express bus only operates from John Wayne Airport (SNA) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Since you’ll be flying into Long Beach Airport, your best bet is to take a taxi, third-party shuttle, or a ride share service like Lyft or Uber. There is public transportation available through the Orange County Transit Authority, but you would have to transfer buses multiple times which certainly isn’t convenient when traveling with a little one.

We have traveled with a car seat before and used a Lyft to get us to the Disneyland Resort. We purchased an inexpensive and lightweight car seat specifically for this purpose. Then we could easily install it in our Lyft and off we went!

If traveling with a car seat is too cumbersome, I recommend checking out the various limo and car services available in the Long Beach/Orange County area. Many cater to families and come with car seats or booster seats for no additional charge. Additionally, there are some services that will even include a stop at a grocery store to pick up snacks and essentials on your way to the Disneyland Resort. The last option would be to rent a car and include a car seat with your rental. However, if you will only be visiting the Disneyland Resort during your stay, you will not need a car once you arrive. Both parks, the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and the Downtown Disney District are all within walking distance and if you park a car at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you will pay a nightly parking fee.

I hope this information gives you some transportation ideas to look into. Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
