    I'm looking for fun character (or not) for dinner. We will be there from Jan 2 - Jan 8, 2014. I tried to reserve mickeys backyard barbecue but there aren't any dates available after the month of December. Any suggestions for something similar?

    It sounds like you are looking for something similar to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue?  If you are curious about other meals with Mickey Mouse, take a look at all of the character dining experiences at the Walt DIsney World Resort.  There really are so many fun experiences to choose from.  Chef Mickey's buffet inside Disney's Contemporary Resort is a great time.  Get ready to wave your napkins in the air while you sing with Mickey and Friends.  

    If you want to have a great time without Mickey, I would recommend one of my all time favorite dinner shows on property...the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  It's a vaudeville comedy show with plenty of singing and dancing.  Adults and children alike enjoy this iconic show.
