I'm looking at going to Disneyland for the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. I'm trying to decide how many days I need to fully enjoy the festivities and parks. What would you recommend?

    Hello, Carter!

Welcome to planDisney! My most favorite time of year to visit Disneyland Resort is the holiday season. With the festive decorations, special events, and delicious treats, it really is the most magical time of year! I love that you are already thinking ahead to visit Disneyland during this magical season!

I recommend planning at least three days to fully immerse yourself in the holiday atmosphere. This gives you one full day each at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, plus an extra day to experience anything you may have missed. With that in mind, my family typically plans four-day trips during this season because we prefer a relaxed pace. We also like to include at least one laid-back afternoon to enjoy the hotel pool (depending on the weather) and explore the Downtown Disney District.

The Holidays at Disneyland kick off on November 18, 2026. While we don't yet know exactly which seasonal offerings will return this year, I know it will be wonderful! Some of my favorite experiences from last year included riding on Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday in Disneyland Park, along with Mater's Jingle Jamboree and Luigi's Joy to the Whirl in California Adventure Park. I also loved snacking my way through the Disney Festival of Holidays. There were so many tasty options!

Oh, and I can't forget to mention that my family also loved taking photos with the Disney Characters dressed in their adorable winter outfits and watching the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" fireworks (complete with "snow!"). It truly is the best time of year to visit Disneyland!

Carter, I hope this information was helpful. Don't hesitate to reach out to me again if you have other questions!
