Hello, Terry!
When you're in Walt Disney World, your Key to the World Card can really be your "key" into just about anything. With your room access, charging privileges, park passes and Dining Plan entitlements all linked to your card, it's one of the most important items you'll have with you as you travel the World of Disney. As such, it's best to have a safe place where you know your key will remain at all times. I would not recommend clipping them to a lanyard, as there is no hole in the key to enable a clip to go through it. This means that you'd have to use some other sort of clip, such as a clamp, to secure it to a lanyard. However, the keys are so slick that they could easily slip off without your knowledge. Best to stick with a closeable pouch on a lanyard, both of which are sold at
Disney Store.com, for ease of access.
On the other hand, my 14-year-old would
never wear a lanyard, so we made sure that she carried a small wristlet purse to the parks, which worked nicely as well. I, on the other hand, am the keeper of all things in the family, so I prefer a tiny, cross-body bag with an inside zipper compartment for cards.
However you plan to store your Key to the World Cards, be consistent. There's nothing that can drag down a great early morning start than not being able to find someone's KTTWC. Find a good place to store it, and do so every time. (Don't forget to put it back in the same spot when you enter your room, too!)
Have a wonderful trip to WDW! Send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
