I'm looking at the Contemporary, Beach Club and Boardwalk. Which is a good choice for an oct solo traveller?

Hi Jessica!  Great choices for Disney resorts!  Of these three I would strongly suggest the Boardwalk or the Beach Club.  The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will be taking place all through-out October and it is a great place to visit for a solo traveler.  Both the Boardwalk and the Beach Club resorts are very close to the International Gateway entrance which makes them very convenient.

The Beach Club has a great pool, Stormalong Bay, if you enjoy swimming and sitting by the pool.  It is considered the best resort pool on property by many.  The Beach Club also has two good restaurants close by or in the resort itself, Cape May and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

The Boardwalk tends to be a little quieter which might appeal to a solo traveler.  It also has a pool and fine restaurants such as the Flying Fish and Spoodles.  Of course no matter where you stay you can enjoy these fine dining locations.
