Hi im looking into coming to Disney on the 29 can i buy the tickets the same day and make a reservation?

    Hi Caitlin!

How exciting that you're thinking about a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth next week! Just the thought of strolling down Main Street and catching a glimpse of Sleeping Beauty Castle can make any day feel extra magical. This is such a fun time of year to be in the parks with Halloween Time in full swing!

I'm happy to help you sort out tickets and reservations so you can plan your way to the magic. While you can buy tickets and make theme park reservations on the same day as your visit at the kiosk in the Main Entrance Esplanade, it is recommended that you purchase them in advance on the Disneyland website or Disneyland app. Theme park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. If you wait until the day you want to visit, there is a chance that no reservations will be available for that day. While the ticket gains you entry, the reservation holds a spot for you in either Disneyland Park or California Adventure on a particular day.

If you are concerned about buying a ticket in advance because you are not sure if you will be able to make it next week, I like to tell Guests that there is quite a bit of magic in those tickets. A One-Day ticket purchased today is valid through December 30th, 2026, so you have more than a full year to plan a visit. Additionally, even if your ticket expires, you can put the value of a wholly unused ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. So, the magic never fully runs out!

To purchase a ticket, head to the Disneyland website and hover over "Tickets and Parks" along the top navigation bar, selecting "Buy Theme Park Tickets". As you go through the checkout process, you will select a date and the park you'd like to visit. Once your purchase is confirmed, you will have automatically made your theme park reservation for that date and park. If you're still not quite ready to take the leap, you can also keep your eye on the theme park availability calendar. As of right now, there are reservations available on the 29th, but of course, this is subject to change.

Caitlin, I sure hope this has been helpful! If you need any convincing, I highly recommend taking a look at the Entertainment Schedule to see all the activities for the day, from character cavalcades to nighttime spectaculars. Magic from morning to evening!
