Hey there, J David! Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney.
What a fun surprise you have planned to
purchase tickets for your daughter and friend! How sweet! I understand that your daughter does not have a Disney account, which would make it hard to purchase tickets for her. As a parent of teens who sometimes visit the parks with other friends and family, I have some experience with this and have a suggestion.
If you do not have a Disney account yet, I would create a Disney account for yourself during the checkout process of purchasing the tickets for your daughter and her friend. Then I would just give your daughter access to that log-in information to be able to use and access the tickets on the
Disneyland app while she visits the park. This is what our family does. All of our tickets are on one account and all of us who have phones in our home have access to that account on the Disneyland app. This allows them to have access to their tickets, as well as make
Disney Genie+ selections if they decide to separate from us.
This has always worked well for us and hopefully, this works for you as well. If her friend had a Disney account, you could also give them the ticket ID numbers after you have purchased them on your account and have the friend link them to her account as well. Tickets are able to be linked to more than one account.
J David, I am so excited for you to surprise your daughter and I hope this helps you figure out a plan to make it all work. Thanks again for stopping by!
Carrie
