Hi, Ashley! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You are correct that Walt Disney World Resort’s
Restricted Personal Items page lists that strollers larger than 36" x 52" (92 x 132 cm) are not permitted into Disney Theme Parks. Since you haven’t yet purchased the stroller in question, might I suggest either renting a stroller directly through Walt Disney World Resort or even viewing the types of strollers that are rented out through
Disney Featured Providers (third party), and if the stroller you are thinking of purchasing is similar to the ones they use, then I would assume that it would be fine- but better safe than sorry. If you are purchasing this stroller solely for your magical vacation, then perhaps renting is the way to go! The smaller the stroller, the easier it is to fold up on the buses and push throughout the Theme Parks. Here are a few of my stroller tips:
-Bring glowstick bracelets or necklaces from home and wrap they around the handles of your stroller easily identify your stroller in the dark.
-DO NOT EVER EVER EVER leave valuables in your stroller unattended.
- If you bring your own stroller, add some fun Disney Character tape to your handle to easily identify it.
-Purchase a balloon and tie it to the handle. Cast Members like to re-arrange stroller parking so your stroller MAY not be where you left it. Your balloon is a fun way to identify your stroller out of the possible hundreds.
- Stroller rain covers. Important. Nothing worse than having a child jump into a WET stroller after having it parked outside during a wonderful meal!
I hope my answer is useful to your planning and that you come visit us again soon!
