I'm looking at booking a split stay with 1 night at the Swan Resort followed by 3 nights at the Poly. Can I drop my bags at the Swan Resort's bell services for transfer to Poly?

Hey there, Jennifer, and welcome back to planDisney!

I've called the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and its sister, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, home during my vacations plenty of times. And now that you mention it, most of the times were during some sort of split stay. Needless to say, I've got you covered, friend.

The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel is a little different from a Disney Resort Collection hotel. Since it's actually a Marriott property, there is no link between their Bell Services and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and you will need to move your luggage there yourself. Usually, I plan a pretty relaxed morning for the day I'm switching, when one of them is The Walt Disney World Swan or Dolphin Hotels, but if you're planning on getting to the parks early, all is not lost. I'd suggest choosing your switch day as the day you visit Magic Kingdom in the morning. Plan to get up with the chickens and use a rideshare service to take you and all your luggage to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Once you've dropped your bags off at their Bell Services, you can catch a water taxi to Magic Kingdom in no time. The one that runs between Magic Kingdom, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and your new home away from home runs in a loop and will have you walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in no time!

Jennifer, enjoy that split stay. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask us. We can't wait to help!

    Happy planning!
