Hi, I'm looking at booking our first cruise on Wish in January 2025 with my husband and 3 sons. Looking at help for which room and deck to choose and also is there alcohol packages.

Ahoy there Rhonda!  I'm so glad that you sailed by planDisney to ask your question.  I know there are a lot of decisions to make as a first-time cruiser.

The staterooms on the Disney Wish have great artwork to draw you into the Disney stories that we all know and love.  For 5 people, you will need to be in a Concierge, Verandah, or Oceanview stateroom.  Concierge staterooms offer luxurious suites and family oceanview options.  Next, Verandah staterooms, my favorite, have a private verandah, some with partial views.  Lastly, Oceanview staterooms have a porthole.  I have stayed in Verandah staterooms on both Decks 9 and 10 Midship on the Disney Wish and enjoyed my stateroom each time.  There are no Midship elevator banks on the Disney Wish, so if that is important to you, then you probably don't want a stateroom in that area. I suggest looking at the deck plan to get a feel for what could potentially be happening around you, just in case you are a light sleeper.

Disney Cruise Line does not offer an alcohol drink package, but there are numerous options for you to choose from.  Guests ages 21 years and older can bring a maximum of 2 sealed bottles of wine or champagne (no more than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no more than 12 ounces) onboard. Upon embarkation, they must be packed in your carry-on bag or luggage and not checked.
You can also order adult beverages during rotational dining or while you are lounging by the pool. If you are open to trying something different, booking a Beverage Tasting for an additional cost is another option.  There are tastings for tequila, bourbon, champagne, and more! This is one of my favorite activities to do with friends or by myself.  I always learn something new from Disney Cruise Line Crew Members conducting the tastings.  I encourage booking a tasting in advance because they can fill up quickly.
There are also Nightclubs and Lounges where you can purchase adult beverages.  The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will list their deck locations and hours of operation.

As you continue to plan your magical vacation, we here at planDisney will be happy to help with any other questions.
