Welcome to
planDisney, Mackenzie!
Thanks for stopping by to discuss your fall getaway to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd be delighted to assist you today.
When purchasing theme park admission for your Walt Disney World vacation, the
Park Hopper option must be added to the duration of your ticket; it cannot be added on a day-by-day basis. If you only want to hop for one day of your trip, you can buy a 3-day ticket with Park Hopper or a 2-day base ticket plus a separate 1-day ticket with the Park Hopper option. A quick calculation on my part shows that the 3-Day ticket with Park Hopper saves you a little bit of money over buying the 2-Day base ticket + 1-Day Park Hopper. If you're unsure, I recommend purchasing a 3-day base ticket. You can always upgrade it to include park hopping later. A Guest Relations Cast Member can help you with this upon arrival, or you can
do it in advance using the My Disney Experience mobile app.
My family finds park hopping valuable even when we take short trips. We enjoy the flexibility and spontaneity of visiting multiple parks in one day. Sometimes, we park hop just for dinner and a nighttime spectacular. If you add the Park Hopping option to your ticket, I think you'll love it. Since your vacation occurs during spooky season, you might encounter early closings at
Magic Kingdom Park for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. For me, this is an especially important time of year for park hopping!
I hope this is helpful, Mackenzie. As your enchanting escape approaches, don't hesitate to write to us again for more tips and tricks. October is a fantastic month to visit; from fall festivities to the
