I'm looking to book 2 hotel nights in the first week of January. Can you tell me when the bookings will open?

    Hi Kerrie,

Welcome to planDisney! When I come back from a Disney vacation, I’m already planning my next visit. I completely understand your excitement about booking a vacation for January!

Hotel reservations are currently available to book through the end of 2025. In fact, I noticed that if you book a stay starting December 31, 2025, you can extend your checkout date into January 2026, up to January 8. Unfortunately, we planDisney panelists don’t have the inside scoop on when bookings for the rest of 2026 will become available. My best advice is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on booking windows, celebration details, and exciting new offerings at the Disneyland Resort. Also, be sure to check the Disneyland website regularly for any updates.

Don’t forget, one of the great perks of staying at any of the three Disneyland Resort hotels is Early Entry into the parks. While the parks typically open at 8:00 AM, Early Entry allows hotel guests to enter at 7:30 AM! Make sure to use the special entrance to Disney California Adventure to get a head start on the crowds. Currently, Early Entry at California Adventure is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Kerrie, do you find yourself planning annual Disney vacations? If so, I highly recommend looking into Disney Vacation Club. I became a member in 2017, and it's one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My home resort is The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, which means I can book stays up to 11 months in advance! I’ve also enjoyed some fantastic membership extras, like Moonlight Magic. This is a special event where Disney Vacation Club members and their guests get to visit a Disney park after hours for free! If you’d like to learn more about Disney Vacation Club, you can stop by their member services location at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or at Golden Vine Winery in Disney California Adventure.

Kerrie, I hope this information is helpful! If you have any other questions or need more planning advice, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share more tips to make your visit extra magical.

    Happy planning!
