I’m looking to book a holiday package with flight but I can’t see an option to upgrade seats (Flying BA with economy and want to upgrade to Premium Economy) how do I do this? And roughly how much extra is it on average?

Hi Jemimah and welcome to planDisney!

It always makes me super happy to be able to help a fellow Guest with the planning of a trip to my favourite holiday destination - Walt Disney World. Even more so, when that Guest happens to be a fellow Brit.

It looks as though you are planning to visit at the end of August, next year. As I have an 8-year old daughter, my family have visited during the month of August, for the past few years and I would say that sun hats, sunglasses, portable fans, cooling towels, ponchos, an umbrella and plenty of sun cream are all absolute essentials when visiting at this time of year.

Top Tip - Did you know that free iced water is available from select Quick-Service dining locations at Walt Disney World? There are also refill stations located throughout the park where you can obtain water for free. To save money when my family visit, we always bring plenty on-the-go squash bottles with us, to add to the water, to make cordial for us to drink.

Going back to your question, when booking a Flight + Hotel + Ticket Package directly with the Walt Disney Travel Company, via the UK version of the Walt Disney World website, it is possible to select your flight class when searching for your holiday.

The "Class" box defaults to Economy but, if you click on the drop down box, you can select Premium Economy and Business Class, as alternative options.

The price difference between Economy and Premium Economy flight classes can vary widely depending on many different factors so, my best advice would be to price up your Flight Package, based on the dates of your intended visit and the Disney Hotel and Park Tickets of your choice, with both Economy and Premium Economy flight Class.

The difference between the two will be the additional cost to fly Premium Economy as opposed to Economy.

I hope that this information has been of help, Jemimah. Please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any further assistance with the planning of your trip.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
