Hello, I'm looking to book my first Disney Cruise in a few years. When is the earliest you can book a Disney Cruise (not excursions, but the cruise itself)? If booking concierge do you get access to book the cruise early?

Ahoy there, Laura. Welcome and thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your questions.

I’m thrilled you’re looking to book your first Disney cruise! Even if you don’t plan to sail for a few years, it’s great you’re doing some research. Disney Treasure is currently the newest ship which sailed its maiden voyage in December 2024. Soon, Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure will be joining the fleet. It was also announced that FOUR more new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031!

At this time, Disney Cruise Line has released itineraries through May 2026. I recommend booking your cruise as soon as the itineraries are released, which is typically 15-18 months in advance. This is when you will have the best selection of staterooms and prices are usually lower; as you get closer to sailing and the supply dwindles, prices tend to increase. Also, on popular themed sailings such as Very Merrytime Holiday cruises during Thanksgiving or Christmas, staterooms do sell out as large families gather to celebrate on the high seas together. I suggest following along Disney Cruise Line on Instagram or Facebook to see when new itineraries are released.

Disney Cruise Line gives priority to Castaway Club members to book earlier than the general public. You automatically become a Silver member after 1 sailing, and the additional tiers are: Gold, Platinum, and Pearl. At this time, Pearl members are able to book new itineraries at least 4 days before the general public, regardless of which stateroom category they choose. If you book a Concierge level stateroom, a great benefit is that you are able to book activities, port adventures, and dining reservations before other Guests.

Laura, as you continue to plan your magical Disney cruise vacation, please don’t hesitate to sail over to planDisney again if you have more questions.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
