Your question is a great one, and one I have been curious about myself. I reached out to Disney Cruise Line to ask, because I haven't yet heard anything about holiday decor or activities aboard the
Disney Magic at Sea sailings that are taking place around the holidays. Unfortunately at this time, they were unable to answer whether or not special Christmas activities would be taking place.
These sailings are not listed as
Very Merrytime sailings and I know that the Disney Magic at Sea itineraries have their own special entertainment. For example, on a 4-night Disney Magic at Sea sailing, you can expect to enjoy an action-packed Marvel-themed Deck Party, Heroes Unite, on the second evening onboard. On the third evening of your sailing, you can celebrate with Mickey and his pirate gang for the
Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean Deck Party. On the final night of your sailing, you will be treated to Ever After Fireworks. You'll have an itinerary that is filled with amazing entertainment to enjoy as much Disney Magic as can possibly be filled into your four nights at sea.
While I can't guarantee anything, it is my hope that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be celebrated on the ship. You may get to see Santa on Christmas Eve and enjoy a traditional holiday feast for dinner on Christmas Day. The Daily Activity Schedule will be available to view using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you have stepped aboard the ship on embarkation day. It will feel like a present you get to unwrap as soon as you are on the
Disney Wonder.
As far as the two itineraries you are considering, if they are both four-night sailings, the entertainment provided will be very similar. The difference will be between the ports of call visited and if there are any special activities that take place on Christmas.
