    I'm looking to book my Disney trip for next year however I've noticed the Genie plus has changed to lightning lane. Can we book the lightning lanes 7 days in advance from the UK? If not this would unfortunately be a deal break

    Hey there, hi there, ho there, Bryn, and welcome to planDisney. Yes, the new Lightning Lane system will begin on July 24, 2024, and many international Guests wonder how it will affect their vacation planning. Let's dig in together.

    Here is the information you need to know as of today.

    • All international Guests are encouraged to download the My Disney Experience App when they arrive in the United States of America.
    • Once in the United States, Guests can purchase and schedule their Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass selections.
    • Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or other select hotels will be able to book selections up to seven (7) days in advance of their check-in date for the length of their trip up to 14 days.
    • Guests not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or other select hotels can book selections up to three (3) days in advance of their first theme park entry date for the length of their valid ticket.
    • Guests may purchase both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass together.
    • Read the Disney Parks Blog regularly as policies may change.
    I hope this clears any confusion. While I understand this can be frustrating for International Mouseketeers I suspect Mickey is behind the scenes working on a solution. Don't give up on your enchanted adventure just yet.
