Hi Stacey,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The early morning Extra Magic Hours and
Park Hours dilemma - we always face it when trying to make pre-park opening advanced dining reservations. When checking the park hours, I have discovered that on the initial park hours calendar it may look as if the park hours are not yet released for certain dates, but when I click to see the five-day calendar view, I can see the hours. Having said that, when I made our initial dining reservations for our upcoming trip, there were no early morning Extra Magic Hours for Disney's Hollywood Studios but then, closer to our trip dates, they posted them for the entire week of our trip (welcome Toy Story Land!).
So, we make our plans with the best information we have at the time. I also review the Park Hours and Extra Magic Hours for the weeks prior to our trip. Then I check back periodically to see if Park Hours or Extra Magic Hours have changed. Pay special attention to the Disney Parks Blog for updates on new attractions. Although I knew Toy Story Land was opening at the end of June, I did not anticipate that we would have additional early morning Extra Magic Hours starting at 7:00 a.m. during our trip at the end of July.
Stacey, my family always does a pre-park opening dining reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Remember that, with the
Let the Magic Begin show, guests can enter the park to explore Main Street, U.S.A. one hour before park opening. So, when we do our early morning breakfast reservation, we make it for 8:00 a.m. on a day when Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00 a.m. and there are no Extra Magic Hours that morning!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
