I'm looking for the most affordable accom. for myself, husband, 3 children (ages 11, 3, 5 at time of travel) and my parents. This will be our first Disney trip and we are so excited! we will be coming april 2013. Any suggestions???

    Hi Mandi!

I suggest looking at two connecting rooms in a Disney Value or Disney Moderate Resort; if your parents want their own room, then I suggest getting three rooms.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century and my favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I've gotten two connecting rooms at both resorts many times in the past, and we've always been happy with the extra room and, most importantly, the extra bathroom.  I think that is a better choice than getting a family suite at the All Start Resort.  Another option is to get two nearby cabins at Fort Wilderness; one for your family and one for your parents.  However, I generally only recommend going to Fort Wilderness if you have your own car.  That is because Fort Wilderness is so large it has it's own internal bus system; to get anywhere, you have to ride the internal bus and then switch to another Disney bus.

Another option is to look into some of the independent hotels in the Downtown Disney area.  When we have needed  lots of room before, we stayed in the DoubleTree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney.  My family has always enjoyed our stays there.  Of course, there are also off property options.  If you want everybody to stay together, you should look into renting a vacation home.  A company I like is AllStarVacationHomes.com.  They have very nice properties located close to Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
