Hi! I’m look to plan a Disney trip for December 27-29 checking -in on the 27th-checking out on the 29th going to magic kingdom on the 28th and Hollywood studios on the 29th! I’ve been a pass holder for about 4 years but I need help planning. 6 adults 1 kid

     Welcome to planDisney, Krysta!

I'm so happy you dropped by with your question. Krysta, whether it’s a few days in December or two weeks in July, I love helping guests plan a Magical trip!

Krysta, since you’re an Annual Passholder, you’ll want to start your planning process by securing your Disney Park Pass reservations. In order to limit attendance numbers, all guests are required to make a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter a park. You can check availability HERE. If all Members of your traveling party are NOT Annual Passholders, you’ll want to go ahead and purchase those tickets so you can make the Disney Park Pass reservations for all who will be attending. To do this, you'll log into your My Disney Experience account and click on the Disney Park Pass tab.

Krysta, my Walt Disney World Resort vacations often revolve around food, so I would recommend thinking about any advance dining reservations you’re hoping to make next. Since you’re planning one day in Magic Kingdom Park and one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I encourage you to make those dining reservations as soon as possible if your family is like mine and needs a relaxing table-service meal to recharge.

Next in my planning process is… attractions! Krysta, since use of the Fastpass+ system is on pause as the Walt Disney World Resort continues in its phased reopening, you’ll find things a bit different. Since you’ll be traveling with six adults and one little Mouseketeer, I would definitely think about where in the park you want to begin and what your “must-do” is for the day. Typically when visiting Magic Kingdom Park, my family and I will immediately head into Fantasyland and get in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the newest attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is very popular so it’s also a good choice to tackle first thing in the morning. If you don’t make it first thing, keep an eye on your My Disney Experience app where the wait times are continually updated.

Finally, a few things to keep in mind before you head to the Most Magical Place on Earth. First, face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and older. Next, you will see physical distancing all around the parks and in attraction queues. Finally, while things are different, I can tell you that the Magic is still there and waiting for you. Krysta, I hope you'll come back to planDisney with any other questions you might have.

Best wishes for a December trip filled with unforgettable moments,
