I'm a little confused about using a fastpass+ for parade viewing. Not sure if it is worth it. Are you given an assigned viewing area and is it less crowded than viewing elsewhere? How soon before the parade do you need to get there?

    Hi there, Jane!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your great question!

I have to tell you, I've used FastPass+ for Parade viewing and it's been my first choice for my FastPass+ selections ever since. There is an assigned area at Magic Kingdom Park, currently in front of Cinderella Castle, where there is a roped-off section reserved strictly for Guests who have FastPass+ selections confirmed. In my experience, the entire section was far less crowded than just grabbing a spot along the sides of the Parade route. I was even able to move around freely and take pictures of the different Parade floats as they came by with no problem!

My most favorite part about it is that my family didn't have to secure our spots before the start of the Parade because we knew that our fabulous spots were reserved and waiting for us. Guests sometimes line up about an hour before the start of the Parade to make sure that they get a great view; with FastPass+, you don't have to do that and can spend that very valuable time on another Attraction or meeting a famous Disney Character!

I sure hope this helps, Jane! Please let us know if we can assist with any other questions you have.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
