Hi Krista!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney again! You’ve come to the right place to learn more about Lightning Lane passes ahead of your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in just two weeks!
Krista, you’ll be happy to know that you are not too late to enjoy the benefits of
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. If you’re staying at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection or other select resorts, you can begin making your pre-arrival selections and purchases seven days before checking in for the length of your stay. Guests staying elsewhere can begin purchasing three days before they visit the parks.
Whether it was the previous Disney Genie+ service or the current Lightning Lane passes, my family always opts to purchase these time-saving tools in the parks. With visits to
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios included in your plans, there are so many popular attractions to experience during your visit. Having the ability to bypass the standby queue at select attractions allows us to maximize our time and is consistently our preference, leaving more time for other important things like character hugs and all the Disney snacks!
Here’s how Lightning Lane passes work. Lightning Lane Multi Pass will allow you to pre-select three attractions from a single park for each day that you purchase the product. At both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, those pre-arrival selections are broken into groups, and you can choose one attraction from the first group and two attractions from the second group. Once you redeem your first Muti Pass selection, you can make additional selections from any group based on availability. Lightning Lane Single Pass is an à la carte product where you can purchase individual entry to one or two of the most popular attractions in each park. You may purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day.
Krista, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I also wanted to share that there is a video on the
Disney Parks YouTube channel that you may find helpful as well. If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
See ya real soon!
Kristi
