Hi moms! So I'm kind of freaking out cause I planned our first trip with our kids for next month (June 16-21) and I keep reading its Orlando's rain season! Are we going to get caught in this?!?

    Hi Elizabeth,

There is a good chance you will experience some rain during June, but the good news is that it is usually in the late afternoon and normally doesn't last long. As long as you know what to expect, it shouldn't impact your fun.

I recommend that you bring a poncho for each member of your family and a rain cover for your stroller if you have one. I always get them at a discount store at home before I arrive. It's good to have them on hand when the rain starts. And, if yours are colorful, it makes it easier to find your family in a sea of Mickey ponchos.

The other good news is that many families tend to vacate the parks during the afternoon rains. You can do that, too, or just put on your ponchos and keep having fun. Only a few of the attractions are affected by rain. And, often, by the time you finish a spin on it's a small world or Space Mountain, the showers have passed.

I hope tha helps ease your mind and that you and your family have a wonderful visit. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy!
