Chohee from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, I’m an international exchange student living in a Florida university dorm. I don’t have a permanent FL license. Can I use recent bank statements with my FL address to verify residency in person?

Welcome to planDisney, Chohee! Thanks for sharing your question with us!

It looks like your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few weeks away. How exciting! You’ll be immersed in the magic and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks your heart desires in no time at all.

According to the Walt Disney World proof of residency rules, if you don’t have a Florida-issued ID, you can provide the following documents as proof of residency:

    - Current mortgage statement (deeds, mortgage contracts, mortgage payment booklets, and leases are not accepted)
    - Current homeowner’s insurance policy or bill
    - Current automobile registration, insurance policy, or bill
    - Current utility bill (power/phone/cable/water)
    - Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings, or investment account statements
    - Mail from federal, state, county, or city government agencies

Based on that list, recent bank statements (dated within the last 2 months) should be fine. Remember, you’ll also need to provide a corresponding picture ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or state identification card. You can find information on Walt Disney World’s residency requirements here

I hope you have a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World, Chohee. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will be going on, so be sure to stop by to enjoy the beautiful topiaries, special entertainment, and seasonal treats. You can find a super helpful festival preview and Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog to help plan your visit.

Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have more questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
